Bob’s Booger by Scott Black

Bob’s Booger by Scott Black

Bob’s Booger is a simple rhyming book that teaches that value of tactful honesty through the story of a boy who goes a full day of school with a slimy booger hanging from his nose. No one has the courtesy to tell him until he takes his best friend’s homework to him. His best friend is able to tell him that he has a nasty booger visible to the world without being hurtful. This shows both the acts of true friendship and honesty.

The book is simple and appealing to small children. The message is neither preachy nor lengthy, making it easy for children to grasp without being offensive to parents. My kids love anything with the word “booger” in it, so that adds to its appeal to younger readers.
