Recently, I was given the opportunity try Matcha Green Tea Powder. This green tea is like no tea I’ve ever tried before. It isn’t simply made of the leaves; it’s made from the entire tea plant. It’s made into a nice powder so that it can be dissolved for easy use in so very many products. The company even provided me with a cookbook so I could make green tea cookies or ice cream, if I wanted.
Lately, my coffee seems to be hurting my stomach. I seem to go through this cycle with coffee about once a year. Since this agony hit about the same time I received the Matcha Green Tea Powder, I decided to see if the tea bothered me at all and if it gave me any energy, as it claims. I made the green tea latte (with a bit of tweaking) that was in the recipe book – it’s made with almond milk (I use the unsweetened variety) and sweetened with agave syrup. It was delicious.

I went to work checking my email and doing laundry and failed to notice for several hours that my stomach did not bother me at all. What was even more miraculous is that my stomach had been bothering me virtually nonstop for days (in addition to the coffee issues), and the tea actually helped me with those stomach issues. I also felt better, and I had more energy, just as the ad proclaimed.
I drank this latte for several days, and even my daughter loved it! During the trial period, I had a head cold; this tea was great for soothing my throat. This tea is all natural, so I didn’t have to worry about setting off my food allergies due to nasty artificial preservatives.
Since I used only a small teaspoon of the tea for each large mug of latte I made, the bag of Matcha will last awhile, so it’s really not as expensive as it might seem at first glance. It’s actually quite a bargain in comparison to other gourmet teas. It has a strong flavor, since you’re getting the whole experience, rather than the steeped, watery experience of tea filtered through a bag. I do advise whisking the tea with a small amount of the boiling water either with a small immersion blender, mini whisk, or fork prior to adding the full amount of remaining hot liquid of choice to allow the tea to fully dissolve. Otherwise, the tea may simply remain mostly granulated in the bottom and the last few swallows will be far less pleasant than the first.
I rate Matcha Green Tea Powder 5 Healthy Glittering Stars.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
